英語四級全稱：大學英語四級考試。

大學英語四級考試是由國家教育部高等教育司主持的全國性英語考試，由全國大學英語四、六級考試委員會(1993年前名為“大學英語四、六級標準化考試設計組”)負責設計、組織、管理與實施。
